Put on your dancing shoes and learn what it’s like — and what it takes — to be a Disney Parks performer in this workshop designed specifically for dancers.

Overview

During this workshop, professionals from Disney Live Entertainment will teach choreography and staging techniques from one of the many shows performed at Disney Parks across the world. Through this process participants will learn choreography, as well as the performance elements that elevate their movement to a uniquely Disney level of storytelling. There will also be an invaluable opportunity to talk with industry veterans about the audition process, get career advice, and more.

Key Learning Objectives

After completing this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Techniques to learn choreography quickly
  • The importance of flexibility in mind and body
  • Tips for integrating into a new cast
  • How to be a good ensemble member who contributes to the success of the group
  • The importance of audition preparedness
  • The dancer’s role in the overall production, including the importance of collaboration with choreographers, directors, producers and technical support

The Disney Difference

Disney Performing Arts Performance sets the standard by which all other performance opportunities are measured. Discover the Disney Difference when you:

  • Your students work directly with Disney Teaching Artists, all of whom are dance professionals currently working in the industry
  • Dancers work on choreography from iconic Disney Theme Park shows exclusively available in this experience
  • Participants are treated as professional cast members in a live production environment
  • Students have the opportunity to gain insight into careers in live theatre through Q&A with their Teaching Artist
  • Your group partakes in the magic of our parks with specially priced tickets
