Bring Disney Landmarks to Life in the Visual Art of Disney Parks Workshop!

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, students can sketch their way into the enchanting world of Disney with the Disney Imagination Campus Visual Art of Disney Parks workshop. This addition to our Arts & Humanities pillar allows students to explore how storytelling is paired with the Principles of Design to draw popular Disney theme park locations.

Led by seasoned Disney Teaching Artists, this 90-minute immersive visual arts class will allow aspiring artists to learn how to draw using techniques that bring Disney theme park locations to life. Through a combination of verbal instruction, hands-on demonstrations and engaging discussions, students delve into the art of sketching. From mastering the nuances of shape and shading to understanding the significance of color choice and architectural details, students explore how design choices enhance the storytelling aspect of Disney landmarks.

More than just a drawing class, the Visual Art of Disney Parks workshop provides a glimpse into the professional world of art and entertainment, including careers at Disney. Participants have the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session with their Teaching Artist and other Disney Cast Members, gaining valuable insights into potential career paths within the industry.

Ideal for students ranging from 4th grade through high school, the Visual Art of Disney Parks workshop welcomes aspiring artists in a variety of skill levels. While some prior drawing or sketching experience may be beneficial, no experience is required to participate. Students who participate in this workshop will meet several key learning objectives that can help meet many Common Core Standards. With a minimum of 15 students required per organized group, the workshop offers a collaborative and enriching environment for artistic exploration and growth.
