Can I enroll my individual student in a Disney Imagination Campus workshop or experience?
Disney Imagination Campus does not offer individual workshops or performance experiences at this time. However, if your student participates in any formal groups or activities like scout troops, sports teams, dance troupes, or other extracurricular clubs, we frequently welcome these groups to attend our workshops and performance experiences.
What groups are eligible for Disney Imagination Campus Student Tickets, workshops or performance experiences?
Disney Imagination Campus Student Tickets, workshops and performance experiences are available for legally formed educational or youth focused businesses that have been operating for more than one year. Some examples include girl/boy scout troops, youth sports teams, community dance troupes, school groups, formal youth clubs/organizations, church youth groups, etc.
How do I apply for performances, educational workshops and special events like Festival Disney and Disneyland Resort Grad Nite?

Our Cast Members have all the information you’ll need to register for Disney Imagination Campus Performing Arts Experiences, Academic Workshops, and special events like Festival Disney at Walt Disney World Resort and Grad Nite at Disneyland Resort.
What is the cost of these experiences?
Groups are offered special value-priced ticket packages. Select the field study you are interested in from the list of available workshops and view the pricing for the number of days you intend to visit the Disney theme parks. A theme park ticket is required for each program participant.
Is there a minimum number of students you will accept?
Disney Student Tickets require a minimum of 10 students to participate.

Educational workshops require a minimum of 15 students to participate.

At Walt Disney World Resort, Performing Arts stage performances and workshops require a minimum of 15 performers to participate. Marching band performances require a minimum of 40 performers to participate.

At Disneyland Resort, Performing Arts stage performances and workshops require a minimum of 20 performers to participate. Marching band performances require a minimum of 50 performers to participate.
Can the Disney Imagination Campus team help me book my student group’s accommodations?
Yes, we can assist if you are booking 10 or more rooms and have a minimum of 10 students from an established school or youth organization.
Are Disney Imagination Campus experiences appropriate for Guests with disabilities?
Yes! We are happy to accommodate Guests with disabilities. If you require special assistance, please contact your Disney Imagination Campus Representative or travel planner.
Does Disney provide transportation to/from these experiences?
Your group must arrange its own transportation to and from all workshops and events. Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort transportation is reserved for transferring Guests to and from the resorts and is not available for rides to and from any programming.

Performances

What are Disney Imagination Campus performance experiences?
This is a once-in-a-lifetime performance opportunity for instrumental, vocal, dance and other qualifying youth ensembles and marching bands to perform on Disney stages and locations for audiences from around the world.
How does my performance group get to participate?

To participate in a performance, you must submit an application for your group. Due to limited capacity and increasing popularity, we recommend applying as soon as possible. Applications are accepted up to one year in advance of your requested performance date. If selected, all participants are required to purchase a performing arts ticket package.

Your participation is subject to review and acceptance of your audition materials. If your group is accepted, your teacher/director will then receive an email with written confirmation.

How is my audition evaluated?

All audition submissions are evaluated for quality by Disney Entertainment Professionals. Selection for participation in performance is based on your group's ability to:

  • Play music and/or sing in tune
  • Present selections that best exemplify the group's precision and execution
  • Perform with energy and exhibit a confident stage presence
  • Showcase family-friendly music and choreography
What is the minimum age?
At Walt Disney World Resort, all performers need to be at least 7 years old at the time of their stage performance and at least 12 years old at the time of their marching band performance.

At Disneyland Resort, all performers need to be at least 7 years old at the time of their stage performance or marching band performance.
What is the minimum group size for Disney Imagination Campus performances?

At Walt Disney World Resort, each group must have 15 or more performers for stage performances and 40 or more performers for marching band performances.

At Disneyland Resort, each group must have 20 or more performers for stage performances and 50 performers (minimum of 40 instrumentalists) for marching band performances.

What is the minimum group size for a Disney Imagination Campus Performing Arts workshop?
At Walt Disney World Resort, there is a minimum of 15 students to participate in a Performing Arts workshop.

What happens if there is adverse weather at the time of a group performance?
The safety of our performers and their Guests are our number one priority. In the event of inclement weather, we will follow current park guidelines for outdoor performances. We will work with the group director to delay or reschedule when possible. Refunds will not be provided if a performance must be canceled due to inclement weather.

Performing Arts Workshop

What are performing arts workshops?
Performing arts workshops are Disney-designed programs that reinforce concepts in music, dance and theater. These participatory sessions will enrich the value of your group's visit by providing students with a feel for what it's like to be a professional—from the preparation and skill-development stages, to rehearsing and performing.
How long are Disney Imagination Campus Performing Arts workshops?
Performing arts workshops at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida are 2.5 hours in length. At the Disneyland Resort in California, all performing arts workshops are 1.5 hours in length.
Do I have to perform in order to participate in a workshop?
You do not have to perform in order to participate in a workshop. Some groups choose only to perform, others elect just to do a workshop and some groups do both during their visit. All groups performing or participating in a workshop will need to purchase a performing arts ticket package.
Where are the workshops held?
The workshops are held at various locations within the Disney property. Specific locations vary due to the workshop type and size.
When and where will my students be performing?

At Walt Disney World Resort, Marching Band performances take place in Magic Kingdom park and stage performances take place at Disney Springs.

At Disneyland Resort, marching bands perform in Disneyland park and stage performances take place in Disney California Adventure.

During the application process, you will select your preferred performance date. If accepted to perform, times will be provided closer to your performance.

Who teaches Disney Imagination Campus Performing Arts workshops?
The workshops are facilitated by accomplished entertainment professionals who are experts in their disciplines.
When are the workshops offered?
Workshops are offered year-round, with the exception of select blockout dates, at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. You will receive information regarding the time of your workshop closer to your group’s arrival.

Festival Disney

What is Festival Disney?
Festival Disney is a positive and educationally meaningful music festival experience held at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for talented middle, junior high/high school and college/university concert ensembles.

At each performance venue, ensembles will be evaluated by two nationally recognized, collegiate level music educators and one Disney music professional teaching artist who will provide detailed, positive feedback to all ensembles through written and recorded comments. Following each performance, the ensemble will also experience an in-person individualized feedback clinic. Directors can choose competitive and non-competitive adjudication options.

Many of the standards set forth in the National Core Arts Standards are fulfilled by participation in Festival Disney.
What is included in the Festival Disney package?
  • 2 - 5 Day admission to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. (May be limited to one park per day).
  • Personalized educational clinic following the performance.
  • Two (2) Festival Disney director’s ticket packages included, per school.
  • Festival Disney Award for each ensemble.
What kinds of ensembles are eligible to perform?
Participation in Festival Disney is open to middle, junior high/high school and college/university concert bands, orchestras, and concert choirs.
Where will my group perform?
Festival Disney events will take place at a number of venues in and around the Walt Disney World Resort. Venues will be listed as part of the festival schedule approximately 6 weeks prior to the event.
What are the allotted times for each performance?

What instruments and equipment are supplied for the performance?
Concert Band & Orchestra
Festival Disney is pleased to provide Wenger musician chairs and music stands, as well as the following Ludwig/Musser percussion Instruments: 23" 26" 29" & 32" timpani, concert bass drum, drum set, chimes, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, orchestra bells, (2) concert snare drums, temple blocks and 10" 12" 13" & 14" Concert Toms. Additionally, we provide a set of crash cymbals, suspended cymbal, 13" & 14" timbales, bongos, congas, gong and professional electronic piano. (All mallets, sticks, amp cables and items not mentioned above are the responsibility of the ensemble.)

We are proud to provide the following Glaesel string instruments: 4 4/4-size Scherl & Roth 'Hermann Beyer' cellos (we strongly recommend bringing your own bow) and 4 3/4-size Glaesel basses (we strongly recommend bringing your own bow).

Choral Ensembles
Festival Disney provides up to 8 sets of Wenger 3-step choral risers, a sound system for audio playback, up to 6 wireless handheld microphones for soloists. At Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort Performance Hall, we are proud to provide a concert Steinway & Sons Piano.

Academic Workshops

What are Disney Imagination Campus academic workshops?
Disney Imagination Campus academic workshops include studies in arts, humanities, science, technology, leadership, and innovation, and they allow students to learn firsthand how each of these disciplines come to life within the Disney theme parks.
When are the workshops offered?

Workshops are offered year-round, with the exception of select blockout dates, at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort.

Workshop times will be provided in the weeks leading up to the workshop.

How long are Disney Imagination Campus academic workshops?
Disney Imagination Campus academic workshops vary in length from 1.5-3 hours at both Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.
Can my group participate in more than one workshop on our trip?
Yes! Many groups choose to participate in multiple experiences during their visit. There is an additional fee per workshop, per student.
What does each workshop entail?

Can our chaperones attend the workshop?
Yes, a limited number of chaperones are permitted to attend educational workshops. One adult for every 10 students is permitted to participate in workshops.
Can parents, friends and family members accompany participants on their trip?
The ticket package includes theme park admission, but does not include participation in the educational workshop. Friends and family members—such as siblings—are offered the same value-priced educational workshop ticket package.
