Program Overview

See how effective leadership produces innovation as you investigate proven leadership strategies employed by The Walt Disney Company. During this 3.5-hour program, college students gain the skills to become the business leaders of tomorrow by identifying traits and behaviors they can use to promote their own personal and professional success.

Key Learning Points

After completing Leadership Strategies - Disney Style, participants will:

  • Understand Disney's three key concepts for a successful business, along with the primary tool utilized by great leaders to maintain balance
  • Be able to identify and give examples of the four Disney leadership strategies discovered and discussed in the program
  • Be able to articulate the pervasive and critical need for clear and precise communication between a leader and his/her team, as well as the necessity for comprehensive communication flow within a team
  • Gain insights into the nature of confidentiality and the need for a leader to properly identify the level of confidentiality required for various types of information
  • Be able to describe the four specific leadership styles discussed in the program and give examples—in addition to identifying which of these is closest to their own style
  • Understand that great leaders recognize the need to adapt their leadership style to fit the situation—and are comfortable with many modes
  • Get a start on developing their own strategic plan for great leadership and effective communication with their team

Program participants are required to present a government issued ID day of learning experience.

Follow this 6-step process for planning your Disney Education Programs – College Edition visit to Walt Disney World® Resort.

Select the program(s) that best suits your group.

  1. Choose the dates you intend to visit. Disney Education Programs – College Edition programs are available year-round. While we will work diligently to accommodate your request, we ask that you identify an alternate program date in case programming is not available on your preferred date.
  2. Submit a Program Request Form. Programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged.
  3. Upon receipt of confirmation from the Disney Youth Programs team, purchase your value-priced theme park Ticket Packages, which include your first Disney Education Programs – College Edition program. Ask your Disney Youth Representative about adding additional programs during your visit to maximize your experience.
  4. You can also purchase tickets that include other Disney parks or events, including Disney Water Parks, Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course, Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
  5. Be sure to request information on food and beverage options and convenient Disney on-site group hotel accommodations.

Students, friends and family can each enjoy their own special kind of Disney fun with the same great value-priced Disney Education Programs – College Edition ticket packages! *The Disney Education Programs – College Edition Additional Guest ticket package does not include participation in the Disney Education Programs – College Edition program.

Disney Youth Representatives can guide you in choosing the programs that best suit your group, plan your food and beverage options and even help you book your Disney Resort accommodations at special group rates.

*A minimum of 10 students is required and a maximum of one (1) adult may attend the Program per every five (5) students. Minimum of 1 adult per 15 students must attend the Program. The number of Group Leaders and Additional Guests (i.e., chaperones, parents, siblings, etc.) may not exceed the number of students.

Theme Park admission is required and all participants must purchase a Disney Education Programs – College Edition Ticket Package to attend any Disney Education Programs – College Edition program. Use of an admission is required for entrance into the park on the date of your program. Tickets are valid for 7 days prior to your arrival date and after departure date. Tickets are only available to residents of the Domestic U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Annual passes, complimentary admission and regular front‐gate admission cannot be applied to the cost of a program.
