Beginning now and running through Jan. 8, 2023, Holidays at the Disneyland Resort casts enchanting seasonal charm throughout Disneyland Resort, featuring student-friendly experiences with transformed attractions, characters in seasonal looks, themed décor, delicious treats and eats, festive merchandise and more.

Read on for all the magical details of what your students can expect when visiting the resort this upcoming holiday season!

Disney California Adventure Park

In Disney California Adventure park, holiday décor will shine bright, with a 50-foot-tall Christmas tree on Buena Vista Street and automotive holiday embellishment in Cars Land. The Holidays will be Wheel-y Fun, with Luigi and his extended family of roadsters celebrating the season in style with festive dances to tunes crooned by Luigi himself! Take a seat in a classic Italian import and enjoy the ride as the cars cruise to the music.

The nighttime spectacular “World of Color – Season of Light” will bring students together as they witness holiday magic through memorable moments from treasured Disney and Pixar films. Watch hundreds of sky-high fountains dance in time to festive music as shimmering snowflakes fill the scene. Experience a mesmerizing spectacle as enchanting and magical as the holidays themselves!

Through energetic live entertainment, culinary delights and special traditions, Disney Festival of Holidays will highlight a diverse season of celebrations, including Christmas/Navidad, Diwali, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Three Kings Day. Students can celebrate cultures around the world at the Disneyland Resort! Festival marketplaces across the park will serve a hand-crafted menu of delectable foods and beverages. As part of Disney Festival of Holidays, you may also enjoy nightly holiday concerts at the Palisades Stage in Paradise Gardens Park.

Disneyland Park

Disneyland park will be adorned with festive holiday décor, including the iconic 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. Student groups will have the chance to snap a group picture or selfie in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, with icicles, wreaths, and festive décor, enchanting the park from day to night. Each evening, gather to watch thousands of twinkling lights illuminate as snow falls and music fills the air. It’s a truly breathtaking sight!

Two beloved Disneyland attractions will return with fan-favorite seasonal transformations. “it’s a small world” Holiday takes guests around the world as dolls and toys representing children enjoying the distinctive holiday traditions of their respective countries. In New Orleans Square, Jack Skellington and his friends cause a collision between Christmas and Halloween to transform the Haunted Mansion into Haunted Mansion Holiday inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. For a limited time, students can experience Disney’s immersive storytelling abilities – Holiday style.

Students may encounter their favorite Disney characters in their finest holiday attire! Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen,” along with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Santa and many other friends will celebrate the season in “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade, a daily musical procession of floats, marching toy soldiers, dancing gingerbread cookies and more.

In the evenings, the festivities continue with the “Believe… in Holiday Magic” fireworks spectacular, which features magical “snowfall” and colorful projections on Main Street, U.S.A., and the façade of “it’s a small world.” Students will also be able to dance along with characters such as Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n’ Dale and others during nightly holiday dance parties at the Tomorrowland Terrace.
