Stay Connected
Teachers, mark your calendars, because 2020 is an exciting year full of fun, new adventures for you and your students at the Disneyland Resort! Check out this sneak peek of what’s in store for your next class field trip:
#1. Star Wars: Rise of Resistance at Disneyland Park
This most impressive attraction will launch at Disneyland park on January 17! Students will find themselves in the middle of blasts, rumbles and thrills of a climactic Star Wars™ battle on the new attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. With multiple ride systems carrying passengers through multiple scenes, jaw-dropping effects and an incredible drop from space, it’s one of the most advanced and immersive Disney Parks attraction experiences ever.
#2. Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure Park
Gather your students for a spectacular Lunar New Year festival—January 17 through February 9—at Disney California Adventure park. Join us for an unforgettable celebration filled with limited-time Disney magic, plus delicious Chinese-, Korean- and Vietnamese-inspired food as we kick off the Year of the Mouse!
#3. “Magic Happens” Parade at Disneyland Park
Debuting in spring 2020, the all-new, extraordinary “Magic Happens” parade will travel down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland park. Celebrating awe-inspiring moments of magic—both large and small—that are at the heart of so many Disney stories, “Magic Happens” reminds us we don’t need wings to fly, shooting stars were made to wish upon, and magic doesn’t stop at midnight.
This daytime spectacular will feature stunning floats, beautiful costumes, and beloved Disney characters – all led by Mickey Mouse and his pals. The parade will feature an energetic musical score and a new song produced in partnership with singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. The high-energy music combines this original song with classic Disney tunes in a fresh, contemporary style.

#4. Food and Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Park
Teachers, satisfy your appetite for fun at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, February 28 through April 21. Sample cuisine prepared with fresh California-grown ingredients along with nonalcoholic drinks. Plus, enjoy live music and a full menu of complimentary activities and premium events* (available at an additional cost).
And while you are here for this festival, you can sign your students up for the Disney Culinary Arts Disney Youth Education Series Program. This program journeys backstage and into the kitchens on an exploration of the senses to discover the secrets of Disney’s savory storytelling and the ingredients needed to fulfill culinary career aspirations.
#5. Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort
The spell is cast! Fall is a great time for student field trips, and they won’t want to miss Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! Starting mid-September through October 31, the spook-tacular Halloween Time experiences begin in Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park.

#6. Holidays at Disneyland Resort
From mid-November through early January, the holiday celebration returns again with wonder, joy and, of course, plenty of Disney magic in both Parks. This is the place where traditions are shared, memories are made and the spirit of the season shines even brighter – a great way for your students to bond in the magic of the holiday season.
#7. Avengers Campus
And in 2020, Avengers Campus will be opening at Disney California Adventure park! Your students will be able to take a test drive of Worldwide Engineering Brigade's latest invention: the "Web Slinger" vehicle. In this vehicle, they will be able to sling webs just like Spider-Man! In the Pym Test Kitchen, Pym Technologies will be using the latest innovations to grow and shrink food!
