Most of us have one teacher we will never forget. The one that brought their classroom to life, sparking our minds and desire to learn like never before.

To coincide with the 50th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney World Resort, we just revealed the names of 50 inspiring teachers from across the country who will take part in a magical celebration at Walt Disney World Resort next month.

Teachers from around the nation submitted their inspiring stories of how they are using imagination-powered learning to positively impact the lives of their students and communities, and we are eager to celebrate their amazing creativity and dedication.

They will be treated to a four-day celebratory event at Walt Disney World Resort over Memorial Day Weekend that will include special entertainment experiences in the parks, sessions with Disney executives, Disney Imagineers and a Broadway performer, plus cutting-edge educational workshops and a celebratory parade at Magic Kingdom.

Orlando area teacher Stacey Foskey was selected for her imaginative and immersive classroom transformations. This creative thinker said she is especially excited to be among the 50 selected teachers because of her love for Disney. “To see my kids fully engaged and enjoy learning brings a smile to my face and reminds me why I began teaching. When I found out I won the Disney Imagination Campus 50 Teachers Celebration, I was shocked! I’m excited to learn from other educators, and I’m excited to visit the Disney Imagination Campus”.

Rachel Posteraro, a teacher selected from Anaheim, CA, creatively uses dance to teach physical education for students with disabilities. “I’m a huge Disney fan and I can’t wait for the day to be surrounded by other educators and to learn and to grow at the Disney Imagination Campus 50 Teachers Celebration”.

Disney Imagination Campus provides a variety of educational experiences for visiting student groups that harness beloved Disney franchises and include a collection of interactive workshops, performances and special events. From performing arts to science and technology, and arts and humanities to leadership and innovation, we bring learning to life in new and exciting ways.

Special thanks to these 50 teachers whose roles in the classroom go above and beyond to give students hands-on learning opportunities that apply to real-world problem-solveing:
